| The new season 1979 dawned
and our teams were busy. |
| |
|
Events moved quickly, and in 1979 a new
league was formed called "Scottish and Tyneside League". Seven teams
were involved, Portobello, Annfield, Meadowbank and Forth from Edinburgh,
Hampden and East Kilbride from Glasgow and the newly named Rebels. In
their first full year of racing, Newcastle had a reasonable season, and
laid the foundations for the following year, but before we move onto
1980, the following happened. |
